“ISANG DEPED, ISANG PAMAYANAN, ISANG BAYANIHAN PARA SA HANDA AT LIGTAS NA PAARALAN”
MANILA INTERNATIONAL FREIGHT FORWARDERS., INC. (MIFFI) AND MIFFI LOGISTICS COMPANY, INC. (MLCI) participated in the Department of Education’s BRIGADA ESKWELA . also known as the “Bayanihan Para Sa Paaralan” , Brigada Eskwela is a nationwide activity aimed to prepare public school buildings for upcoming start of the schoolyear. Volunteers from MIFFI and MLCI joined in cleaning, painting and preparing school rooms and furniture’s alongside teachers, parents and other organization.
This year, MIFFI and MLCI employees donated their time and bought with them cleaning materials , paints as well as some painting materials to prepare San Antonio Elementary School in Paranaque. As with any other MIFFI/MLCI CSR activities, money used to purchase materials were taken from the employee’s contribution. This is then matched by the company. As the Department of Education endeavors to solve many other challenges plaguing Philippine education, there is Brigada Eskwela that will remind us that when Filipinos unite, we can build better together
Last December 2, 2016, Employees of MIFFI and MLCI visited the San Antonio Elementary School to bring gifts of joy and love to Special Education (SpEd) students. 13 employees volunteered sharing with students, 5 to 18 yrs old, gifts, games and food.
Funded by donations from employees, MIFFI and MLCI employees have been holding regular CSR activities aimed to share whatever blessings they received.
Safety and Security is in the forefront of MIFFI’s awareness. Last March 12, 2017, MIFFI held a re-certification of all Forklift Drivers. The training focused not only on the driving skills of each but more so in the safety practices that each drivers observe whenever they are operating a forklift.
Recently, Manila International Freight Forwarders Inc. (MIFFI) conducted an internal training program designed to reinforce to each employees the need to comply not only with laws and but more so, to follow corporate ethics expected of a Hitachi Transport System Group member.
Contribution of employees from their salaries was used to buy Medicines for the poor family of Brgy. San Antonio, Paranaque City.
Contribution, thru NGO (NICCO) and their local partner, Philippine Disaster Reduction and recovery Network (PDRRN), 1 classroom roof in Brgy. Lemon and 3 Classroom roof in Barangay Tolibao was repaired.
